The #OnePlus2 was launched just a couple of months ago by the company. This was followed up by the #OnePlusX handset, which features a slightly outdated hardware, but a budget price tag. Naturally, the company is already working on the next major flagship for 2016.
We are now getting our first glimpse of the alleged rendering of this device, aptly named the OnePlus 3. For now, we’re taking this with a heavy dosage of salt as it’s still pretty early in the day. The company hasn’t commented on these renders as of yet and we don’t think they will anytime soon.
As for the renders, it appears to be a logical design evolution from the OnePlus 2, although the fingerprint scanner toting home button on the front is missing. Could the company be tinkering with the idea of ditching the tech for the upcoming flagship or is this just a very early render? Only time can tell.
Further, the report also mentions that the handset will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC, which is expected to be running on most 2016 flagships.
