While we’re eagerly awaiting the release of the #GalaxyS7 smartphone, a new report mentions that the handset will not feature plenty of cosmetic changes on board. The word is coming from a reliable Korean source, so we have enough reason to believe in its legitimacy.
The Galaxy S7 is expected to feature a significantly ramped up internal specs sheet and it is said that the company will focus more on that aspect rather than the visuals.
The Galaxy S6 was a major shift from the Galaxy S5, and there was very good reason for that. The Galaxy S7 on the other hand might borrow the same design elements as the Galaxy S6, which is not necessarily a bad thing as Samsung really hit the home run with the design of its 2015 flagship (despite some similarities with the iPhone 6).
Reports have already mentioned that the Galaxy S7 will come with an Exynos 8890 chipset underneath, which recently broke the AnTuTu record for the highest score by a mobile SoC. It is further believed that the company will have variants with the Snapdragon 820 SoC underneath, so we could be in for an interesting next couple of months.
The Galaxy S7 is expected to go live in the markets by February 2016 as per the most recent revelation, although Samsung is yet to confirm any of this.
