Moto 360 Sport landing in the U.S. on Jan 7 for $299

Moto 360 Sport

The #Moto360Sport was announced alongside the 2nd gen #Moto360 back in September, but never saw an official release in the markets. Motorola has now announced that this “Sport” version of the popular Moto 360 smartwatch will be up for grabs starting January 7 from the company’s own online store as well as a handful of other online retailers.

The smartwatch will hit Best Buy stores and Motorola’s Downtown Chicago store starting January 10, so you can walk over to the outlet and check out the wearable in person.

One of the marquee features of the Moto 360 Sport is the presence of AnyLight, which essentially allows users to get the same level of visibility from the display both indoors and outdoors in broad daylight. This model also has compatibility with the Moto Body app which functions based on the GPS sensor that is present on the device.

Barring these features and the sporty looking silicone watch band, the Moto 360 Sport features exactly the same hardware specs sheet as the 2nd gen Moto 360 (including the flat tyre display).

Any takers?
