It was further mentioned that the One A9 handset, which is already running Marshmallow, will get the Android 6.0.1 update later today. This is pretty quick from the Taiwanese manufacturer and is a fine example for other manufacturers on how update rollouts should be handled.
As for the changes on board, the One M9 will get a UI similar to the One A9 with some major functionality related improvements in tow as well. Naturally, the update only pertains to unlocked models and those with carrier branded versions of the handset might have to wait some more time to see the update on their devices. But knowing how HTC has already begun the process, we don’t think the carriers will take too much time.
