According to a new report, the 2015 #MotoE will receive the Android 6.0 #Marshmallow update soon. This is good news for customers of the smartphone as it was initially believed that #Motorola was leaving out the recently launched budget handset from the update list.
The company however has mentioned that the update will only be sent out to the 4G LTE models of the handset and the 3G (with a Snapdragon 200 SoC) models will be left out.
Also surprising is the exclusion of the U.S. in the update list, with Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia being mentioned. So does this mean that American 2015 Moto E (LTE) customers will never see Android 6.0 Marshmallow? Well, it’s tough to tell at the moment, but we won’t be surprised if that is indeed the case.
The Moto E 2015 comes with a budget hardware on board, with the promise of getting the latest software updates when they are made available. But this revelation might not be great PR for the company’s budget handset, especially in the U.S.
