Verizon officially confirms its intentions to launch the BlackBerry Priv

BlackBerry Priv

The #BlackBerryPriv is already available for purchase through multiple retail channels with AT&T being one of the major American carriers to offer the device. Well, America’s largest carrier #VerizonWireless has now announced that it will start offering the device as well, although it failed to mention as to when.

The carrier has merely given out a tentative “coming soon” status, so it’s left to anybody’s imagination as to when the handset will actually be launched by the carrier. Considering how the handset will be freely available over the next few weeks, we expect Verizon to be close behind.

At $699, the BlackBerry Priv is certainly not an affordable device. But given Verizon’s vast customer reach, the carrier might just be able to convince the customers of its potential.

The Priv comes with a 5.5 inch Quad HD display, a hexa core Snapdragon 808 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, an 18-megapixel camera on the back, Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 3,410 mAh battery. The device also comes with the iconic BlackBerry keyboard that is hiding underneath the slider.
