Note 4 Not Updating
Problem: I received a software update for my phone OTA, and when i download it, and then try and install it i get the error below: “Failed to update software. Try again using smart switch on your PC or visit a Samsung customer service centre.”
Solution: There may be a problem while downloading the update OTA. This could be caused by some server related issue or a connection issue. You can try to check at a later time if the download will proceed.
If the problem still persists then use Smart Switch. You can download this software from the Samsung website and install it in your computer. Once installed just connect your phone using a USB cord to your computer. Once your phone is detected you will be prompted to get the update. Follow the onscreen instructions to update your phone.
If by some chance the update fails then I suggest you wipe the cache partition of your phone then check for the update again. If the issue persists then I recommend you backup your phone data then do a factory reset before proceeding with the software update.
Note 4 Will Not Update
Problem: My phone will not do the newest Update it is a unlock phone from Verizon on Metropcs

Note 4 Contact List Updating After Software Update
Problem: This morning I was asked to upgrade my software. After upgrading, I cannot see my contact list. It says updating contact list but not updated even after half and Also when I open contact to display, there is no SIM to choose from the application settings>contact.
Solution: This is a common issue encountered by Android phone owners who have updated their device to the latest software version. This is caused by a glitch in the software that causes your phone to appear to update the contact list. What you need to do is to access the quick settings of your phone by swiping down on the top part of the display with two fingers then make sure the Sync button is turned off. Restart your phone then check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t then you can go ahead and turn on the Sync button.
If the above troubleshooting step fails to resolve the problem then your next step is to wipe the cache partition of your phone. This deletes the temporary data in your phone which may be causing this glitch.
If the problem persists then manually sync your contacts by following the steps listed below.
- Open Contacts.
- Touch More options (3 dots).
- Choose Accounts.
- Choose the account where your contacts are saved.
- Touch More options.
- Tap Sync now.
If at this point the issue still persists then I suggest you backup your phone data and do a factory reset.
Note 4 Unexpected Keyboard Error After Software Update
Problem: hello, ever since the latest update for my note 4 I have had issues with Samsung keyboard. As soon as my phone restarted with the update, an unexpected error has occurred with Samsung keyboard, pops up. This happens every time the keyboard is supposed to open or even if i’m on my main home screen. Even when I hit ok it is constantly popping up. has anyone else had this issue and how can It be fixed?? i’ve tried restarting my phone several times and this still won’t go away.
Solution: This problem is most likely caused by some form of corrupt data in your phone. Try wiping the cache partition of your phone first then check if the problem still occurs.
If the issue persists then I suggest you do a factory reset. Just make sure to backup your phone data before performing this procedure as it will delete all data in your phone.

Problem: Ever since i updated to lollipop 5.1.1 my phone always locked on itself even when i’m typing a message or taking a photo. sometimes, it wont even detect my fingerprint. it is really bothering me. Including LAGGING problems.
