Some users of the 2015 Moto G getting soak test invites for Android 6.0 Marshmallow

2015 Moto G

#Motorola is already said to have begun work on #Android 6.0 #Marshmallow for its smartphones. The 2015 #MotoG is now said to be receiving soak test invites for the update, hinting that a full rollout could be on the cards. Given that Motorola uses a stock version of Android for its smartphones, expect to find a vanilla Android UI with the update.

Soak test invites are usually sent out to a select bunch of customers, so not a lot of users will be able to hop on board right away.

The idea behind this test is to figure out if the update has any issues and resolve them accordingly. So expect Motorola to offer more clarification on when the update will be sent out to the broader audience and if there will be any new features on board.

By default, Marshmallow introduces features like Google Now on Tap, improved security features and a revamped user interface, so new users will be treated to a bundle of new features post the update.
