With the OnePlus X, the titular company launched yet another smartphone that offers amazing bang for the buck. But like it has been doing since its inception, OnePlus is only offering its latest phone through an invite system in the initial days. However, if you’re feeling extremely impatient and would like to get your hands on the OnePlus X right away, you might want to head over to retailer GearBest.
GearBest is currently offering the X to anyone interested in shelling out $287.69. Yes, that’s a few dollars more than the official price, but it does let you skip the line and get the handset right away (interestingly, the retailer wrongly states that the phone’s retail price is $419.) The device will be shipped in 3 to 5 business days without any shipping charges. GearBest might not be a popular option for buying smartphones, but all in all this looks like a very good deal you shouldn’t miss if the OnePlus X is on your radar.
As a refresh, the OnePlus X is mostly a smaller version of the OnePlus One in terms of hardware, with a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 13 MP rear camera, an 8 MP front camera, a 2,450 mAh battery, and 16GB of internal storage. The design is where the X shines, with a metal and glass body that should make it feel considerably more premium than the OnePlus 2 (and the OnePlus One). It’s also the first phone from the company to feature expandable storage, and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with OxygenOS 2.0 on top.
