The #Samsung #GalaxyS7 smartphone is expected to be revealed by January, with a formal launch expected to commence in February. A new report has now mentioned that Samsung will include support for LTE Cat.12 support with all variants of the flagship, including the one with the Exynos 8890 or M1 chipset.
It was previously mentioned that the Snapdragon 820 chipset will come with support for LTE Cat.12 by default, so this would further ensure that all variants of the Galaxy S7 (including global models) will support the network frequency.
LTE Cat.12 comes with download speeds of 600Mb/s and upload speeds of 100Mb/s, which makes it quite an attractive proposition for a future flagship. However, only carrying hardware support won’t suffice as carriers will also have to enable support for LTE Cat.12. So there’s no reason to be excited just yet.
There’s still quite a lot we don’t know about the Galaxy S7, so we’ll reserve judgment for until we have conclusive word on any of this. Would the presence of Cat.12 LTE make the smartphone an attractive proposition for you? Sound off in the comments section below.
