America’s second largest carrier, AT&T has just announced the release of the #BlackBerryPriv smartphone through its retail channels. The smartphone will be available this Friday on the 6th of November with prices starting from $249.99 with a two year carrier agreement. The handset can also be bought at $699 without a contract.
AT&T is offering the Priv at $0 down via the NEXT 12, 18, and 24 plans with pricing set at $37, $30.84 and $24.67. The smartphone comes with a 5.4 inch Quad HD display, an 18-megapixel camera on the back, a 2-megapixel front camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, the hexa core Snapdragon 808 chipset, Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 3,410 mAh battery.
The pricing is slightly on the expensive side, but given the unique niche that BlackBerry seems to be targeting, it shouldn’t be an unachievable target. The smartphone is already up for pre-order from BlackBerry’s website, so you should be able to walk into an outlet this Friday and get a unit for yourself.
