It’s that time of the year again when #Android updates start rolling out to #Nexus devices. The T-Mobile Nexus 5 has already received the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow (well, at least to some users), but not everything is fine. According to some users who have received the update, the smartphone is suffering from network and reception related issues.
It is said that users aren’t getting enough LTE coverage in places where they usually used to. The complaints were posted on Reddit where a T-Mobile employee took note of the problem and promised to take it up internally.
Now this could just be T-Mobile’s network acting wonky, so we can’t jump to conclusions as of yet. But it’s certainly something for the carrier and Google to address, should the problem continue to persist. It is believed that installing the update through unknown or “unofficial” sources might have also caused this.
At this point, it’s hard to point a finger on what’s causing the issue, but since most users are only seeing this after the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, the safer bet is to assume this is Google’s fault.
