The #Samsung #GearS2 wearable is already available on pre-order from most carriers of the U.S. and will be officially available for purchase over the coming days. In anticipation of its release, Samsung has launched a new Gear S2 experience application which lets you get a test run of the wearable before you gear up (pun intended) for the real thing.
The Gear S2 runs Samsung’s proprietary Tizen operating system, but is also compatible with a wide array of non-Samsung smartphones out there. So unlike previous Gear models, the new Samsung smartwatch is operable with a wide range of smartphones out of the box.
The Gear S2 is priced at $299.99, while the slightly upscale Gear S2 Classic will be priced at $349.99, so you will have to dig a deep hole in your pockets in order to purchase the wearable. But considering the kind of features that it will bring to the table with its unique rotating bezel ring and other handy UI features, the pricing could be justified to some extent.
