USB Type-C is now a standard in the mobile industry, with #Android OEMs resorting to this in favor of micro USB. Surprisingly, #Samsung has been somewhat lagging behind in this area, even though it released the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the #GalaxyNote5 very recently.
A new rumor now suggests that Samsung will change this with the upcoming Galaxy S7 smartphone that is set to be released early next year. By then, the market will be filled with a handful of other flagships with USB Type-C on board, so Samsung will be slightly late to the party. But given the kind of popularity enjoyed by Samsung, this feature will be marketed as a game changer by the company.
It has been rumored before that Samsung will release the handset in three different CPU variants, with one of them sporting the Snapdragon 820 chipset. The handset is also said to be packing a 5.7 inch curved AMOLED display, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
