According to a new rumor, Samsung’s upcoming #GalaxyS7 flagship will be available in three different CPU variants, depending on the region. This means that the customers won’t have a say in which variant they will get and a processor model will be assigned for a region.
It seems like the Indian customers will feel slightly left out as the region is said to be getting an Exynos 7422 chipset with lower frequency. South Korea, Japan and Europe however are said to be getting a model with Exynos M1 which is Samsung’s high end chipset that is expected to top benchmark scores next year. The American and Chinese customers will be treated to the latest Snapdragon 820 silicone, the report said.
This year we saw the Galaxy S6 launching in two variants with the other model sporting a curved display panel. So perhaps the Korean manufacturer will follow the same strategy this year but release them with different CPU variants.
Of course, this is just a rumor for now so we recommend you take it with a pinch of salt. But given that we’ve seen something like this from Samsung before, it’s not unreasonable to assume that this might be the case. What do you think?
