#Apple currently uses the 3D Touch technology in its new gen iPhones as we all know. A new report now talks about how this feature could be common by 2016 as more manufacturers drive to bring this feature onto their devices.
It must be noted that Force Touch or 3D Touch has already been available on a Huawei device before Apple made the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus official, so the technology has been around for a while now, thanks to Qualcomm.
With Huawei already showcasing the technology on its Mate S flagship last month, it should come as no surprise that the company would be one of the first Android OEMs to make this a mainstream feature on its future handsets. It is said that demand for Force Touch sensors will be significantly higher in 2016 as more manufacturers push to bring it to their devices.
We are certainly curious to see how Android OEMs will implement the feature on the platform given what we’ve already seen on iOS.
