Nexus 6P scores poorly in teardown scores

Huawei Nexus 6P Teardown

The #Nexus6P from #Huawei is yet to be widely available with some customer seeing delays in shipments. But those users who have already received the device will be saddened to know that the smartphone hasn’t fared well in iFixit’s repairability test. The Huawei flagship has only managed to score a paltry 2 out of 10, which is pretty poor for a flagship device.

So why exactly did it do so badly in the teardown test? One of the biggest gripes that the folks at iFixit had was that opening the display assembly on the smartphone would require them to go through almost the entirety of the internal assembly. This essentially means that replacing something like a display is made harder than it has to be.

Sure, this won’t matter much to the regular users. But knowing that a flagship product scores so poorly in terms of repairability should be a concern if your device ever goes through any physical damage. You can check out the teardown in its entirety from the link below.
