The #BlackBerryPriv was no longer a secret after the company CEO John Chen revealed the features of the device at an investor’s meet. However, there was no word on when the smartphone would be officially released. But we’re getting partial good news our way now with the company opening up pre-registrations for the device. This will give interested users all the updates regarding the release of the Priv smartphone.
Along with this, the company also decided to confirm some of the hardware underneath the smartphone. The BlackBerry Priv is revealed to be packing a 5.4 inch display, an 18-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel front camera, a hexa core Snapdragon 808 SoC, 3GB of RAM, a 3,410 mAh battery and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Among the myriad of security oriented features, BlackBerry is also said to be introducing something called DTEK which will supposedly look for malware and other bugs on the device. Concrete launch and pricing details are still not available from BlackBerry.
