Despite being very successful, #Xiaomi hasn’t released a second generation model of its Mi Pad tablet. But according to a certification database in China, that’s set to change soon. The second generation model of the tablet has just been spotted and could be a worthy successor to the original Mi Pad.
Since it’s still early days, we’re not sure about the specifications of the device. But it seems like there will be upgrades in every area, although we don’t see the design changing by much. Given that this is the company’s only tablet offering, it is possible that it will have a fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 4c and the Mi 5 smartphones are also expected to be packing this feature, so it will be interesting to see what other features the devices will have. A top level Xiaomi executive has revealed that the company will release new hardware this Tuesday on the 22nd of September, so it is possible that the company will take the wraps off the Mi Pad 2 at the same event.
