We have heard the name #BlackBerry Venice multiple times now. This is supposed to be BlackBerry’s official foray into the #Android world and has understandably created quite a lot of buzz on social media. According to a new leak, the smartphone will not be known as the Venice during launch but will instead be called the ‘Priv‘, which we’re guessing is short for private.
The revelation was made by a couple of reliable sources, including the renowned @evleaks on Twitter. There’s still no concrete details on when the handset will be unveiled by the company, although we hope to hear more about it soon.
The BlackBerry Priv could be one of the most anticipated BlackBerry handsets of all time, given the deadly combination of Android and a slide out QWERTY keyboard that can also double as a scrollable trackpad. The highlight features include a Quad HD display, Snapdragon 808 hexa core SoC as well as an 18-megapixel rear camera.
