Note 4 Apps Crashing Frequently
Problem: I had a few apps which encounter the same problem which I had downloaded for the period of time. Recently, my apps (Facebook, q0010, etc) had been so frequently crashing. Whenever I enter the apps, less approximately 3 mins, the apps will hang then crashed. This issues is still ongoing for the past 2 months despite I uninstalled and are-installed those apps. Please advise. Thank you.
Solution: If multiple apps keep on crashing on your device then the problem may be with the phone system software itself. You should try wiping the cache partition of your device first. This clears out the cached data of your phone which if contains some corrupt data can cause this type of problem.
Check your apps if they still crash. If you are still experiencing the same problem then I suggest you backup your phone data and do a factory reset.
One other factor that can make apps crash is the microSD card. This is because some apps may store their data in the microSD card and if this card is faulty the app may crash. If your phone has a microSD card installed then try removing it.
Note 4 iHeartRadio App Keeps Crashing
Problem: My iheartradio station keeps crashing as soon as the screen goes off then I have to swipe the screen back on so I can keep listening to my station.
Solution: The iHeartRadio app requires an Internet connection to play streaming music. When your phone display turns off the Internet may also turn off. This happens if you have some battery saving apps installed such as Juice Defender. If you have these apps installed in your phone then you should check the settings and change it. You can also uninstall any battery saving app installed in your phone to check if it is causing the problem.
Another setting that you have to check is your phone Wi-Fi ( that is if you are streaming the music using a Wi-Fi connection). Go to your phone’s advanced Wi-Fi setting and make sure that the setting for “Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep” is set to Always.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail to resolve the problem then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the factory reset has finished you should immediately install the iHeartRadio app then check if the problem still occurs.
Note 4 Crashes When Opening Apps
Problem: I’ve have the bleacher report for a long time since I got the device no probs. Then all of a sudden I from the bleacher app I kept getting redirected to a malware site trying to get me to buy their software for removal of malware. I declined and downloaded Norton , and other virus removal apps and the prob went away. Lately my note 4 started crashing by just doing something simple like taking a picture or opening a app. Now I can’t get it to stay on it tries to boot up but will just crash again and keep doing it till I pull the battery. I put battery back on and once I try and turn on phone it will go back to the same thing try to boot up and then crash again. & again . . . . over and over phone will not stay on keeps crashing time and time again.
Solution: It appears that your phone software may already be corrupt. The best way to fix this issue is to backup your phone data and do a factory reset using the hardware keys.
Note 4 Keyboard Crashes
Problem: my whole keyboard crashes and it stays on my screen for about 2 min. even when I turn my screen off and back on it will still just sit there. Please Help!
Solution: Are you using the stock Samsung keyboard? If you are then look for the Samsung keyboard on the phone app manager then clear its cache and data. The app may have some corrupt temporary data causing it to crash and clearing its cache and data usually helps in this case.
If the problem still persists then proceed with wiping the cache partition of your phone.
