#Sony first released the #XperiaZUltra a couple of years ago featuring a relatively massive display (at the time). Needless to say, it didn’t catch on in the market and Sony was wise enough to not release a successor in 2014. Well, 2015 has passed as well and despite hearing murmurs about the handset making a comeback this year, it was a no show at the company’s IFA 2015 keynote last week.
A new report is now suggesting that Sony might not have given up on the series yet and could be prepping the release of the phablet for March 2016, which tells us that the company might announce the device at the Mobile World Congress in February 2016.
It is said that the smartphone will feature a 6.44 inch display, which is the same size as the predecessor. However, the company is expected to be using a 4K resolution panel this time around, accompanied by a 23-megapixel camera as well as a 4,000 mAh battery underneath.
For now, let’s put this down in the unconfirmed rumors pile, as we’re not really sure if the handset will actually see the light of the day. But that feature set mentioned above does sound quite promising, don’t you think?
