S5 Camera Photos Can’t Be Accessed

Problem: i am unable to view any photo clicked by camera or received on whatsapp in gallery. When i try to open any image it says ‘unable find item on SD card’. Even i changed the camera settings to store images in device memory but still the issue persists. Earlier when i faced similar i just restarted my mobile and it resolved my issue but this time restarting does not work. Due to this i am unable to click any photo using my camera. Can you please let know the solution ASAP?

Solution: Since you mentioned that the problem used to disappear whenever you restarted your phone then there is a possibility that this may be caused by some form of corrupt data in your device. Try wiping the cache partition of your phone then check if the problem still occurs. If it does then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S5 Camera Photos Get Corrupted

Problem: When I take a picture using the standard camera it takes the photo but when I go to my gallery it just comes up black and the picture is lost. If I use a camera app it saves the picture just fine. I cleared the cache and data on the camera.

Solution: This could be an issue with the standard camera app itself most likely caused by a corrupt cached data. Try clearing the cache and data of the camera app and see if this resolves the issue.

S5 Camera Photos Wrong Orientation

Problem: Is there a way to set the phone’s camera for different orientation. When I download my pictures to my cloud, all of my pics have to be rotated.  I am holding my phone in the normal viewing mode when I take the pictures. In landscape mode, or when my phone turned sideways they are correct.

Solution: Try saving the photos to your computer and have your computer read the photos. If the orientation is correct then the problem may be with your cloud storage provider.

If however the problem occurs even when viewing the photos in you computer then this may be caused by a problem on the phone itself. Since the orientation of photos is stored in its EXIF data which the camera app sets then the first troubleshooting procedure should be on your camera app. Clearing the cache and data of the camera app should work in this case. If the issue persists try using a third party camera app and check if the problem still occurs. If it doesn’t  then the problem may be caused by the stock camera app. I suggest you backup your phone data and do a factory reset to resolve this issue.

S5 Switches Off When Using Camera

Problem: in camera mode phone will take a photo then it switches off and only will restart when you take the battery out.

Solution: Sometimes this issue can be caused by corrupt data in your phone in which case you should wipe the cache partition of your device. You should also consider backing up your phone data and doing a factory reset.

If the problem still persists then try getting a new battery as your phone battery may already be faulty.
