#Samsung officially announced the #GearS2 series of wearables a few days ago, but didn’t provide detailed information on the availability of these smartwatches. We got a very good idea of its pricing earlier today and now, the company has officially confirmed that the smartwatch won’t be up for grabs until October at least. This isn’t particularly exciting news for fans of the newly launched wearables.
It has also been clarified that the wearable will be compatible with any Android 4.4+ running device sporting at least 1.5GB of RAM on board. This should include most flagships from the past three years as well as a couple of decent midrangers, so it seems like Samsung has finally learnt its lessons from the past.
The Gear series of wearables were previously limited to the company’s Galaxy flagships, which meant that they were sold to only a select few customers in the Android spectrum. But with the Gear S2 and the Gear S2 Classic, we will see that the company’s Tizen powered wearables will be available to a large number of users.
Do you have a favorite in the Gear S2 series yet?
