While we’ve heard plenty about Google’s intentions to release the #Nexus6P and the #Nexus5X smartphones, a new report indicates that #Google might also have an #Android 6.0 running tablet on the agenda. Named the Pixel C, at first thought one would easily confuse this for a Chrome OS device. But the rumor mentions that this will be running the latest release of Android, dubbed #Marshmallow.
The tablet will seemingly feature a 10.2 inch display, the NVIDIA X1 quad core chipset as well as 3GB of internal RAM. Interestingly, Google is rumored to be offering a leather keyboard cover as well as an aluminum keyboard case for the tablet (bought separately).
It would seem like this is a cross between a Chrome OS notebook and an Android tablet, which would explain the naming to some degree. The company will supposedly retain the glowing logo on the back (from the Chromebook Pixel) which also serves as a battery indicator. Going by this, we’re guessing Google will target the high end tablet segment with this offering.
It is said that this will be a strictly Google product with no third party OEM branding. This is the reason there’s no Nexus moniker attached to it either.
All things considered, this is still a rumor for the time being, although we hope everything to be clarified by tomorrow. Will you be interested in something like the Pixel C with a high resolution display and Android 6.0 Marshmallow under the hood?
