It’s September 29 today and as #Google gears up to release its often rumored #Nexus smartphones, #HTC has something to show as well. The Taiwanese manufacturer held a dedicated event today which saw the release of the Butterfly 3 for international markets as well as the One M9+ Aurora Edition.
The One M9+ Aurora Edition is pretty much the same as the One M9+ that was released earlier this year, but appears to be sporting a new 21-megapixel camera underneath along with laser autofocus for improved images. Clearly, the device is aimed at the shutter bugs although we fear the device will remain limited to the Chinese markets for the foreseeable future.
The Butterfly 3 on the other hand is an international product and will be available for purchase in a wide range of countries. It comes with IPX5 and IPX7 certification for water/dust resistance, making it an attractive offering.
It features a 5.2 inch Quad HD display, a 20-megapixel rear camera with a second sensor for image focusing (Duo Camera), a 13-megapixel camera on the front, an octa core Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 200GB), Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 2,700 mAh battery.
