Note 4 Wi-Fi Suddenly Stopped

Problem: My wifi has suddenly stopped..it is not working..i have tried resetting the router but it won’t work..switched off the phone, took out the battery and reset all again but no use..plz help me

Solution: The first thing you need to check is the Wi-Fi status of your phone. Is your Wi-Fi switch turned on? Can it search any available Wi-Fi networks? Can it connect to the Wi-Fi network?

If you answered yes to all three questions above then you should forget the Wi-Fi network your phone is connected to then rescan for it and connect to it again. You may need to enter the password to gain access to the Wi-Fi network.

If you still can’t connect to the Wi-Fi network then try looking for a different Wi-Fi and connect to it. This allows you to check if the problem is with your phone or with your router.

If the problem is on the phone side you can further troubleshoot it by starting it in Safe Mode. This allows you to check if certain apps, especially a security app, is preventing your phone from connecting to the Internet on a Wi-Fi connection. If the issue does not occur in this mode then find out what app is causing the problem and uninstall it.

Note 4 Authentication Error When Connecting To Wi-Fi

Problem: I can connect to Internet at home but not at at work anymore it’s saying authentication error and also saying Internet lock it’s saying connecting and saved but never connect have tried everything possible.

Solution: The password to your work Wi-Fi connection may have been changed. You should forget this connection from your phone then connect to it again. When prompted for a password make sure you enter the correct one.

Note 4 Not Connecting To Specific Wi-Fi Connection

Problem: I am having a wifi connecting problem, only to that particular wifi address . The weird thing is that all my colleagues can connect to that wifi except me. This starts happen after I update my phone last friday. Problem couldn’t be solve after that since. I would certainly  be very thankful if you can enlighten me with a solution for this problem.

Solution: The first thing that you should do is to restart your phone. Once your phone has fully booted up turn on the Wi-Fi switch of your phone then forget the Wi-Fi connection that you can’t connect to. Scan for it and connect to it again. You may be prompted to enter the network password to gain access.

If the issue still persists then I suggest you backup your phone data and do a factory reset. This is the recommended troubleshooting procedure to do whenever issues occur on a phone after a software update.
