#Amazon unveiled the Fire HD, Fire and Fire Kids Edition tablets earlier today. Well, the company also took the time to take the wraps off the second generation Fire TV streaming stick, which finally introduces support for 4K video streaming, something that’s lacking in the recently launched Apple TV refresh.
In addition to featuring 4K streaming support, the second gen Fire TV also comes with the company’s Alexa virtual assistant built-in, which means you can get all your queries answered by simply using the remote that comes along with it.
The 2nd gen Fire TV comes with a MediaTek made quad core processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The new Fire TV is already up for pre-order today and will be officially available for purchase sometime after October 5.
Pricing has been set at just $99.99 and adding an extra $40 will fetch you a gaming controller, a 32GB microSD card and two playable games (Disney’s Ducktales and Yacht Club’s Shovel Knight).
