It’s no secret at this point that LG is planning to release a 5 inch #Nexus smartphone this year. This will be the smaller of the two Nexus flagships that #Google plans to bring to the markets in 2015, with the other one being the #Huawei made Nexus phablet. A new leak from Google+ that surfaced on Sunday is now giving us a comprehensive look of the rear panel of the #LG Nexus smartphone.
It looks to be a pretty authentic leak too and we can see the fingerprint scanner as well as the camera and laser autofocus sensors on the back, just like the renders had predicted not too long ago. To make the leak more complete, it has a not for sale sticker, suggesting that this is an early internal prototype not meant for public visibility.
From a design standpoint, it’s hard to tell if this handset is all too different from 2013’s Nexus 5, but we’re seeing some changes here. The camera sensor is slightly elevated from the surface, suggesting that the rest of the body might be pretty slender. Unfortunately, we don’t have a glimpse of the front portion just yet, but we’re hoping that will change soon.
