The #HuaweiWatch was officially unveiled by #Huawei during the Mobile World Congress back in late February. However, the smartwatch was never officially released by the company for some reason. But that could be changing in the coming weeks as the company has begun teasing the arrival of the wearable for this week’s IFA 2015 event in Berlin.
The company’s Twitter teaser has a mysterious looking image with the words “ELEGANCE AND POWER IN PERFECT HARMONY” which is something that we can vouch for given what was shown in the press materials over the months. However, we’re yet to ascertain if the smartwatch will manage to hold itself in real world usage.
In all likelihood, the smartwatch will be running Android Wear, so it should be compatible with a wide range of Android devices. A revelation from earlier this week also revealed that the wearable would be supported by devices running iOS 8.2 or higher, indicating that Android Wear could finally support iOS devices as well. We’re in for a very interesting week and we will make sure you’re updated on all the latest happenings from the IFA 2015.
