After a few weeks of speculation, Motorola had sent out a tweet saying when the Moto X Style (Pure Edition in the US) would be available, but subsequently deleted it. But, the tweet did say that it would be available starting September 3rd.
“On Sep 3, you’ll see what real love is like. Choose #MotoX for a more powerful connection. http://www.motorola.com/us/smartphones/moto-x-pure.html?linkId=16239440 pic.twitter.com/uWlzsyE2RE
— Motorola Mobility (@Motorola) August 12, 2015”
As a refresher of the specs, the Moto X Style (Pure Edition in the U.S.) has a 5.7″ screen running on Android 5.1.1 and a Snapdragon 808 chip. The camera’s resolution has been upped from the 2014 Moto X Pure Edition to 21 MP.
So even though Motorola deleted the tweet, it’s highly likely that since it came from their main account, that the date is true. The Moto X Style will be available for $399 on their own website and not through a carrier. Will you be picking one up?
