We recently came across a support page on T-Mobile’s site which revealed the existence of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 LTE on its networks. The company has now officially announced the tablet, with availability slated to commence on August 19.
The carrier has only released the 8 inch version of the Galaxy Tab A for now with no sight of the 9.7 inch variant as of yet. The tablet has been priced at $0 down with 23 monthly installments of $13.34 along with 1 payment of $13.17, which adds up to a total of $319.99.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 comes with an 8 inch 1024 x 768 resolution display, a quad core 1.2 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage (expandable), a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera, Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 4,200 mAh battery underneath.
We don’t think the pricing will be attractive enough for prospective buyers, even with LTE on board. There are several other tablets in the market today that offer a similar hardware but for a fraction of the cost, so T-Mobile and Samsung will seriously have to rethink the pricing of the tablet to make any impact on the market.
