Samsung’s suggestion on the Galaxy Note 5 S Pen controversy: Don’t do it

Galaxy Note 5

We talked today about how the #Samsung #GalaxyNote5 had a design flaw which could potentially break the device if the S Pen was inserted backwards. Samsung has now responded to these reports and offered a very generic response.

In a brief word offered to an online publication, the company said – “We highly recommend our Galaxy Note 5 users follow the instructions in the user guide to ensure they do not experience such an unexpected scenario caused by reinserting the S-Pen in the other way around.”

It seems like the company is failing to recognize this as a design flaw, which is rather unfortunate given the nature of the issue. However, with this statement being offered, we’re sure that device owners will be more careful while inserting the S Pen back into its slot. Current owners should make sure that the device is out of reach from kids or new users who might accidentally insert the S Pen backwards.

What do you make of this whole controversy and Samsung’s response (or its lack thereof)? Sound off below.
