The Samsung Gear A smartwatch has been making the rounds in leaks for quite some time now. A new report is telling us that Samsung might not release the smartwatch during the August 13 event, where it will also reveal the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+. It is said that the company might instead unveil the wearable at the IFA event, which kicks off in early September, so fans won’t have to wait too long.
The report mentions that the company is still testing out its new Samsung Pay service with the Gear A. The company’s wireless payments service was announced back during the Galaxy S6 event some months ago and will officially come to the markets with the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+.
But it seems like the support with the Gear A is still not up to Samsung’s standards, so the company sees it fit to wait for a couple of weeks to ensure that there are no issues at launch.
