Samsung’s high end #GalaxyTabS2 tablets are going on pre-order starting today with availability slated to commence on the 3rd of September. The tablets will be compatible with #Verizon, AT&T (September 4), #T-Mobile as well as U.S. Cellular’s networks. Both the 9.7 inch and 8 inch models are on offer here, so customers have enough choice with regards to the size.
The 9.7 inch WiFi model will cost $499.99 while the 8.9 inch variant will set you back by $399.99. While the carriers or retailers are yet to provide details on the LTE models, its pricing should be about $100 more compared to the Wi-Fi only versions.
The Galaxy Tab S2 is currently one of the few tablets out there to feature an AMOLED panel, which makes it a unique device. The company has mentioned that it will team up with retailers like Amazon and Best Buy to offer a trade-in program which would knock off about $100 on the pricing when the user brings an old tablet.
The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and 8.0 feature a display resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, the octa core Exynos 5433 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable), an 8-megapixel rear camera and Android 5.1 Lollipop. The larger model comes with a beefy 5,870 mAh battery while the 8 inch model has a 4,000 mAh unit underneath.
