Only yesterday we came across a leak of the #Verizon #DROIDMaxx2 smartphone which was packing a design quite similar to the #MotoXPlay. Another leak from earlier today has revealed more images of the smartphone, but in a dark blue avatar.
We can see the 21-megapixel camera sensor on the back as well, along with the familiar looking back panel. We’re expecting the smartphone to go official in the U.S. over the coming weeks, given that the leaks are increasing in frequency.
A screenshot taken on the device has revealed that the smartphone only has 8.14GB of user accessible storage, which is slightly odd and tells us that Motorola and Verizon might be using some heavy bloat with the device. The handset should also come with a microSD card slot, quelling any fears of limited storage.
The rest of the hardware specifications are in line with the Moto X Play and we’re seeing the 5.5 inch 1080p display, octa core Snapdragon 615 SoC and 2GB of RAM. The handset should also feature a mammoth 3,630 mAh battery underneath, much like the Moto X Play. It is said that the DROID Maxx 2 will also be known as the XT1565 when released.
