Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S4 Active on AT&T are the latest to receive fixes for the much talked about Stagefright vulnerability. This comes after the carrier sent out the update to a couple of newer flagships. It’s good to see that AT&T is not leaving out two year old flagships from its update list, given how much of a concern this particular bug has caused.
Following the exposure of the Stagefright bug, Samsung promised to send out monthly security updates for its smartphones containing fixes for any pertaining bugs or niggles on its devices.
The update for the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S4 Active comes with the build numbers LRX22C.1337UCUGOC4 and LRX22C.I537UCUCOC7 respectively. There are no visual changes with the update, so don’t expect any UI upgrades here.
The update notification should arrive on its own, but if you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you head over to the Settings to pull it manually.
