A new job listing posted by Apple indicates that the company is looking to bring more Android apps to its users. The company has already announced its intentions to bring Apple Music to the Google Play Store and a new job listing posted by the company suggests that more could be on the way.
While Apple is yet to confirm or deny this, a job listing is usually a very good indicator of what the company has in mind. It’s not clear as to what Apple could bring to the Android platform in addition to Apple Music, but the obvious guess is the company’s proprietary IM client, iMessage. This is currently limited to iOS and Macs, but bringing it to Android will help iOS customers bridge the gap with Android users.
Launching a mobile app on Android is a massive step for Apple and it’s good to see that the company is changing according to times and is willing to adapt accordingly.
