ZTE only recently revealed the Axon Phone with an impressive specs sheet and a hard to beat pricing. A new report now claims that the manufacturer will release the second generation model before the end of the year, which means the first gen model could see an upgrade within just 4-5 months of its release.
There’s no specific word on the release timeframe for this handset, so it could be anytime before the Holidays. Of course, none of this is set in stone at the moment, so take it with a pinch of salt for now.
The Axon Phone has been mightily impressive for the kind of hardware it packs underneath and ZTE is supposedly waiting on the customer responses to assess what to change with the successor. So while the company has sketched up plans for the Axon Phone 2, it doesn’t have a clear idea of the hardware at this point.
The company might also bring the Axon Mini handset to the U.S., with ZTE only saying “stay tuned” for now.
