The Pebble Time smartwatch can now be purchased from Best Buy outlets directly for $199.99. Up until now, the smartwatch was limited to those who pre-ordered on Kickstarter with Pebble shipping out units on its own to customers. However, with Best Buy starting to sell the smartwatch now, more users will be able to get their hands on the wearable.
Target will also start selling the Pebble Time, but from August 17th, so Best Buy has exclusivity on the wearable for less than a month. At $199.99, the Pebble Time is an expensive smartwatch compared to the myriad of Android Wear offerings that are selling in the market today. Although it’s a significant upgrade over the 1st gen model, there’s really not much here to warrant the $200 price tag.
If you think otherwise, make sure you head over to Best Buy’s page below and order one for yourself. You can alternatively walk into an outlet and find the best model of Pebble Time for yourself. The wearable is compatible with both Android and iOS, so perhaps you can get it if you’re an iPhone user, which makes sense considering the pricing of the Apple Watch.
