A new leak from Chinese device certification site TENAA has revealed multiple images of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus handset. It’s interesting that the Mi 5 Plus has already leaked while the Mi 5 is still nowhere to be seen.
The Mi 5 Plus shown here seems to be bearing a premium design, which is also expected of the Mi 5 when it is unveiled later this year. The listing further reveals that the smartphone will be packing a 5.7 inch Quad HD display, black or white gold color options as well as 4G LTE support. Rumors have hinted that the device would be packing a Snapdragon 820 SoC as well, but there’s no evidence on that as of yet.
Given the ‘Plus’ moniker used here, it is said that the device will boast of a larger 3,500 mAh battery while the Mi 5 is said to be packing a 3,000 mAh unit.
The company has hinted that it plans to bring its smartphone to the American markets soon, so there might be enough reason to be excited for fans in the U.S., although we don’t suggest you to hold your breath.
In the meanwhile, check out the images of the Mi 5 Plus that we pulled up from the Chinese certification site.
