Note 3 Multiple Issues After Lollipop Update

Problem: Hi guys. After updating to lollipop just 3 hours ago,  my note 3 has just turned into a brick. Touchwiz doesn’t work, I get warning messages that things like storage/contact storage/wifi/Google services,  the list goes on and on,  have all stopped working. I have tried everything you’ve suggested from soft reset to full factory reset, and it’s still exactly the same. So I’m left with a very expensive brick… would it be worth contacting google/android? Or even Samsung? Or can you guys suggest anything else?  Could I roll back to kitkat? If so how? Thanks Drew

Solution: Try to check first if you can do an emergency firmware recovery on your phone. To do this you will need the Kies software installed in your computer.

  • Launch Kies.
  • Go to Tools and choose Firmware Upgrade and Initialization.
  • Enter the name of your phone.
  • Input the model name of your Galaxy Note 3 (in CAPS). It is found at the back of its casing.
  • Select OK.
  • Kies will now verify if your device is supported along with a warning message saying that all data from your device will be deleted during the process.
  • Click OK if you agree with it.

Once you agree to everything Kies will proceed.

  • Kies will download and initialize the firmware update. Wait until it finishes.
  • Just hit Continue with every warning message until you reach the emergency recovery process.
  • Don’t forget to put a check on the confirmation message saying, “I have read all of the above information” once you have performed all the required information in the window.
  • Configure your desired information saving option, connect to Kies and switch your phone to Recovery Mode.
  • Hit the Start Upgrade button and wait until the process finishes. Do not interrupt the process.
  • After you see a confirmation message saying that everything is complete, hit the OK button to finish.

If for some reason the emergency firmware recovery fails then you may need to try to rollback the software to the previous version. Since there is no official way to do this you will have to do it manually. You will be using a software called Odin and a copy of the previous firmware version of your phone to do this. Detailed instructions on how to perform this procedure can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.

Note 3 Not Getting Lollipop Update

Problem: My friends have received the latest update of note 3 (i don’t know which one),but i ‘ m having the version of 4.4.2, is there any solution to get the latest version or update

Solution: You should first make sure that your phone is not rooted and is still running on its stock firmware. If your phone meets both requirements and you are still not getting any notification of a software upgrade then you should try to use Kies in checking for the upgrade. Connect your phone using a USB cord to a computer running on Kies. If an update is available you will be prompted regarding this. Just follow the onscreen instructions to update your phone software.

Note 3 Notification LED Issues & Low Photo Quality After Lollipop

Problem: Since updating software to lollipop I’m having a few issues with my phone. The led lights at the top no longer light up. It used to go blue for text/email, green for messenger/voice mail, white for WhatsApp now there’s nothing apart from when charging?? Also the quality of photos has decreased. When you focus to take a picture the quality is great but when you look back at the picture it’s always slightly out of focus no matter what picture setting you try. Can you give any suggestions to the problem?? Thanks in advance

Note 3 Wi-Fi not Working After Lollipop Update

Problem: Hi guys, After lollipop update my wifi isn’t working anymore for a lot of websites, I did all wat I good do to solve the problem, even until the last big step a complete factory restore. Well still have wifi problems, I really hate this lollipop, than there is also that stupid white background, how I can go back to kitkat?..if there was a problem with lollipop in the beginning why the send t already to there costumers?..I’m sorry this lollipop thing really sucks, if there no solutions at al the only last thing to do is change to a apple phone…tx

Solution: Are you trying to connect to just one Wi-Fi network? If you are then try connecting to other Wi-Fi networks and see if the issue remains. If you can connect to other networks then the problem may be with the present wireless router you are connecting to.
