S3 Frozen After Camera Error Message Appears

Problem: I have a straight talk galaxy s3, that I have had for over a year. This morning, I got a camera error message, so I deleted the cache on the camera. Also,  I downloaded the Samsung cares app, after that my entire phone has frozen. The lock screen won’t swipe open, the pull down, at the top, won’t pull down. It won’t do anything. I tried taking the battery out. I googled and learned how to go to the recovery screen. I cleaned the cache and rebooted, still nothing! I have many pictures over the last year, that I don’t want to lose with a factory reset. Is there anything else I can do??? My phone was working fine this morning, now it won’t do anything!!!! Please HELP!

Solution: Clearing the cache of your phone camera app is one good way of dealing with the error message. Your phone however has developed some complication which makes it freeze. What you should do right now is to check if the Samsung Cares app is causing this problem by uninstalling it.

If the issue persists or if you can’t uninstall the app since your phone freezes then I suggest you start your phone in Safe Mode.

  • Turn the device off.
  • Press and hold the Power key.
  • When ‘Samsung Galaxy S III’ appears on the screen, release the Power key Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
  • Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
  • ‘Safe mode’ will display in the bottom left corner of the screen. Release the Volume down key when you see ‘Safe Mode.’

Check if the issue still occurs in Safe Mode. You should also try to uninstall the Samsung Cares app in this mode.

S3 Can’t Connect To The Camera Error

Problem: OK so my camera keeps saying “Can’t connect to the Camera” so I reboot my phone then it starts to work again but for only like a minute and then when I go back to the camera it says the same thing AGAIN!!!!! Plz help I am begging u guys my phones already slow and cracked and now the camera?!?! Plz help.

Solution: The first thing you need to do is to clear the cache and data of your camera app. Take note that the camera app will return to its default settings after this.

  • From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap the More tab.
  • Swipe to the All screen
  • Tap the desired application
  • Tap Clear data and then tap OK.
  • Tap Clear cache.

Check if the error still occurs. If it does then proceed with wiping the cache partition of your phone.

  • Turn off the device.
  • Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up key, Home key, Power key
  • When the phone vibrates, let go of the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key.
  • When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home keys.
  • Press the Volume Down key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
  • Press the Power key to select and wipe the cache.
  • With ‘reboot system now’ highlighted, press the Power key to restart the device.

If the problem still persists then you should back up your phone data and do a factory reset.

  • Turn off the device.
  • Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up key, Home key, Power key.
  • When the phone vibrates, release the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key.
  • When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home keys.
  • Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset.’
  • Press Power button to select.
  • Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘delete all user data.’
  • Press Power button to select and start the master reset. When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  • Press the Power key to turn the restart the device.

S3 Unknown Error Occured When Camera Is Opened

Problem: As i always open The camera of  samsung s3 a message shows  “unknown error occurred ” so , what to do I tried to clear the data .. but nothing happens , also I tried to enter a code “*#…..with several numbers” and it didnt work .. please I need help to take photos with the camera.

Solution: Clearing the data of your camera app is a good move. This however did not resolve the issue in this case. Your next step then would be to wipe the cache partition of your phone.

If the problem still persists then you should check if a certain third party app installed in your phone is causing this issue by starting your phone in Safe Mode.

If the error does not occur in this mode then it’s likely caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If however the error still occurs in Safe Mode then you should back up your phone data and do a factory reset.
