Every year for the past few years, Samsung has released a mini variant of its flagship in a matter of 2-3 months. However, we didn’t see the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge receive similar treatment this year. But it seems like the Korean manufacturer might have something this year after all with an image of the Galaxy S6 Mini now leaking out all over the internet.
The image shows the display bearing the device’s name, which is some confirmation of its existence and the best we’ve seen so far. The company might unveil this during the Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy Note 5 announcement which is scheduled for August or perhaps Samsung will reveal this mini device separately during the IFA event in early September.
There are no concrete details available on the specs sheet at the moment, but our guess is that the device will pack a slightly underpowered hardware specs sheet but bearing the same design as the bigger sibling. This is a trend that has been followed with mini devices for quite some time now and we don’t see it changing anytime soon.
