We recently came across a report which suggested that the Galaxy A8 would sport a 16-megapixel camera on board. A new report is now extending on that report and claiming that this sensor would have an aperture size of f/1.9, which means it could allow more light and better imagery on the whole.
This could be a crucial feature for the smartphone, given that it’s supposed to be marketed as a midrange offering. The Galaxy A8 is touted to be the slimmest Samsung offering at just 5.8mm which could well be a major selling point for the handset.
The handset has already been revealed by promotional materials, so we know that its existence is legitimate. However, we’re yet to ascertain whether the device will remain an exclusive to some parts of the world or if the Galaxy A8 will see a widespread release. At this point, we know that the handset will feature a 5.7 inch 1080p display, a 16-megapixel camera on the back, an octa core Snapdragon 615 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage (expandable), Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 3,050 mAh battery.
