The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to be revealed by September, as we’ve heard from innumerable reports over the past few weeks. A new report from The Wall Street Journal now mentions that the handset will be shown off a little early in mid-August, which is a couple of weeks ahead of the IFA 2015 scheduling.
This could be a valid and justified ploy from Samsung in order to give its Note flagship some time to settle in the markets before the imminent release of the new Apple iPhones. Last year, the Galaxy Note 4 barely received any attention from the global markets given that the two devices were announced a week or two apart from each other.
But launching the device early could help Samsung greatly. This is just a report for now and we haven’t heard anything from Samsung at this point, but expect to learn more about it over the coming days as something as big as this usually doesn’t stay a secret for long. Take it with a pinch of salt for now though.
