The OnePlus 2 will be unveiled in a VR oriented event on the 27th of July as we all know. And for this purpose, the company mentioned that it will start sending out cardboard goggles to the customers, so that they can catch the event as it unfolds. Today, OnePlus has started sending emails to its fans about the availability of these goggles.
These VR goggles will be offered for free, but the users will have to pay for shipping. This is roughly about $5 if you’re in the U.S. (£5 in the UK or €7 for EU countries). This seems like a pretty sweet deal for something as cool as a VR unit. We must reiterate that this is a cardboard VR tool, so it’s not your Google Glass replacement.
On July 27th, the company will host its announcement of the OnePlus 2 and fans using these VR goggles will be in for a very unique experience. Unfortunately, these goggles will only be compatible with the OnePlus One due to size related constraints. We expect more clarification to follow on this front over the coming days. The company will start shipping out the goggles on the 10th of July.
