The OnePlus team was hosting a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session, where one of the hardware features of the OnePlus 2 was unveiled. The company has usually outed hardware details of the upcoming flagship on the social media platform, so we’re not surprised to see the company resorting to something similar this time around.
It was said that the handset would be slightly smaller in size compared to the OnePlus One, although we’re not sure if the company was talking about the overall size or just the display size specifically. To demonstrate this, one of the company’s representatives on the AMA posted a link to the picture above and said – “I can only tell you that under this OnePlus One there is a OnePlus 2.”
The company also mentioned that the handset would be packing a 3,300 mAh battery on board, which is an upgrade from the 3,000 mAh unit that’s powering the OnePlus One. The company has further mentioned that owners of the One will have priority over the OnePlus 2, which is a nice way to reward customer loyalty.
The company has so far revealed that the smartphone would be packing a fingerprint scanner, 4GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 810 SoC and a reversible USB Type-C connector on board. However, the company has been relatively quiet about the display resolution and the camera of the handset. It is possible that OnePlus will want to keep this a secret from the world before the device’s unveiling later this month.
