OnePlus has been dropping hardware details of the OnePlus 2 periodically. Up until now, we’ve learned that the smartphone will be packing a Snapdragon 810 (v2.1) SoC, a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C reversible port. The company has just outed yet another hardware aspect of the smartphone today – the RAM.
According to a post on the company’s official Facebook page, the handset will feature 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM on board. Using LPDDR4 in favor of LPDDR3 suggests that the company is very serious about offering great performance with the device. Further, 4GB of RAM space will give OnePlus bragging rights over the rivals in the industry.
The only other mobile device with 4GB of RAM right now is the ASUS ZenFone 2, but it’s nearly not as popular as the flagship OnePlus handset. The company’s CEO yesterday mentioned that the smartphone will be priced at under $450, which is looking more exciting now with this new revelation from the company. The OnePlus 2 will be officially unveiled on the 27th of July, which is a touch under three weeks from now.
