Over the past few weeks, benchmark listings have given us contrasting details about the OnePlus 2, leaving most of us confused. While some pegged the handset to be sporting a Full HD display, some reports hinted that the company will go with a pixel dense Quad HD panel. A new rumor now suggests that the handset with the Full HD display bearing the model number A2001 is nothing but the OnePlus Lite.
The rumor goes on to say that the OnePlus 2 is going to be known as the A2003. This makes us wonder if the A2005 that leaked out today is a dummy prototype meant for testing purposes. In any case, take this rumor with a large pinch of salt as OnePlus hasn’t shared details on any mini device as of yet and our only source of these reports have been leaks.
Frankly, it doesn’t make sense for OnePlus to be releasing two devices simultaneously, given that the company is still relatively new to the industry and cannot afford that extra burden of manufacturing. It is said that the company has put all of its strength on procuring enough quantities of the OnePlus 2 so that there are no issues on launch day.
Do you think the OnePlus Lite rumor has any weight?
